Technical Sales Representative
POSITION SUMMARY
We are a bioscience research products company seeking a Sales Representative to support sales and marketing efforts across assigned territories. In this role, you will help drive revenue growth by building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting marketing initiatives. The position also includes regular customer interaction, administrative responsibilities, and collaboration with internal teams. Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Development
- Present and sell company products and services to researchers and laboratories within assigned territories.
- Prepare action plans and weekly schedules to identify targets and project the number of customer contacts.
- Work closely with customers to identify new opportunities and close business.
- Conduct cold calls with new and existing customers to expand the territory.
- Follow up on leads and referrals generated through online marketing and product shows.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
Reporting and Internal Coordination
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Maintain product knowledge and keep sales materials up to date.
- Prepare status reports, including pre-call plans and Salesforce reporting.
- Communicate customer feedback, product opportunities, and service developments to the lab director.
- Coordinate with internal teams to complete the work needed to close sales.
Marketing and Business Growth
- Work with marketing to develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing campaigns.
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including customer relations programs and performance measurement.
- Create marketing campaigns for products and services using technical literature, newsletters, brochures, electronic media, and social media.
- Track, analyze, and report campaign performance using qualified leads and outcome data.
- Gather market intelligence through customer visits and market research to support innovative campaigns and strengthen the company’s position in life sciences products.
- Comply with all company health, safety, environmental, and other applicable policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a related business field, with at least one year of sales experience in bioscience research or related products.
Requirements
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively to the public.
- Travel to customer laboratories throughout the tristate area (Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia) and nearby states, including Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.
