Description

General description

PBS (phosphate buffered saline) is a balanced, isotonic salt solution used for a variety of cell culture applications, such as washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue, diluting cells for counting, and preparing numerous reagents. Generally used in biological research, this water-based salt solution consists of disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride and, in some preparations, potassium chloride and potassium dihydrogen phosphate.

Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) is supplied in a 1X concentration.

0.22 micron Filter Sterilized.

1.8 mM NaH2PO4

pH 7.4
