Description
The SM Buffer is extensively used in molecular biology, particularly as a phage diluent and storage buffer. The buffer contains 50mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 100mM NaCl, 8mM MgSO4, 0.01% Gelatin (v/w) and is supplied as sterile solution. The gelatin present in the SM Buffer stabilizes the lambda phage.
