Description
Malt Extract is a clarified, water-soluble extract of malted barley. It contains a high proportion of carbohydrates, especially maltose, and also provides proteins and trace elements. Malt Extract is used to prepare microbiological culture media for the propagation of fungi, particularly yeast and molds.
