This blocking buffer consists of a 5% solution of milk protein and is one of the popular blocking buffers, used in a variety of applications, including Western blots, IHC, and ELISA. It can also be used as an antibody diluent, and contains anti-foaming agents and preservatives for maximum usability. Due to the presence of trace amounts of endogenous biotin, it is not suitable for techniques involving avidin use.
