General Description

NHS-LC-LC-Biotin is a long biotinylation agent with Spacer arm 30.5 Å. It is used for biotinylation of antibodies, proteins and any other primary amine-containing biomolecules in solution. This biotin agent is membrane-permeable, since it is uncharged and contains simple alkyl-chain spacer arm, it is very useful for intracellular labeling.

Features of NHS-LC-LC-Biotin:

• Amine-reactive— reacts with primary amines (-NH2), such as the side-chain of lysines (K) or the amino-termini of polypeptides

• Protein labeling— biotinylate antibodies or other proteins for detection or purification using streptavidin probes or resins

• Membrane-permeable— can be used to label intracellularly

• Irreversible— forms permanent amide bonds; spacer arm cannot be cleaved

• Long reach— spacer arm 30.5 Å
