$185.00$352.00

The acrylamide / bis-acrylamide solution is available at the most common ratios 37.5:1 for use in protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis.

Cat. No.: 10487 Categories: ,

Description

Acrylamide and bis-acrylamide are used to prepare polyacrylamide gels, where the cross-linking agent is bis-acrylamide, and acrylamide is a water soluble monomer which helps in forming an insoluble, stable and transparent gel. The acrylamide / bis-acrylamide solution is supplied at the most common ratios 37.5:1 for use in protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis. The concentration is based on the total weight of both the acrylamide and bis-acrylamide. Polyacrylamide gels are prepared using acrylamide and bis-acrylamide, where bis-acrylamide is a cross-linking agent while acrylamide is a water-soluble monomer which helps in forming a transparent stable insoluble gel. The 40% Acrylamide and bis-acrylamide solution is supplied at ratio 37.5:1

Applications

  • Use in the preparation of polyacrylamide gel for photobleaching experiment
  • As a constituent in the preparation of gel precursor solution and pore-gradient microgel precursor solution
  • In the preparation of polyacrylamide gels during western blot analyses

The 40% (w/w) acrylamide/bis-acrylamide solution is supplied at the most common ratios for use in protein and nucleic acid electrophoresis. The concentration is based on the total weight of both the acrylamide and bis-acrylamide.
